This piece is the second in the series of textured mosaics. The image here is loosely based on an image of the SARS virus. A little morbid, I'm aware, but the fact of the matter is many viruses are absolutely beautiful in appearance. I'm quite fascinated by this fact; attractive thing can be toxic or deadly.

I've been having a great time trying to convey the images/subjects of these pieces using only texture and tone, while the hue remains the same. More on this tomorrow.
