"Gypsy Dance" - SOLD

8" by 5" - Glass Cabochon, mosaic gold, marble, millefiori, garnet, glass

 

I received this lovely cabochon from my friend Marian Shapiro, and I knew immediately what I wanted to do with it.  It looked exactly like the torso of someone dancing, but it took me 9 months to decide on the rest of the elements.  I love how the skirt turned out, but I must say that I hope I never have to create feet in mosaic again!
