"Penguins Marching" - SOLD

7" by 7" - Glass, smalti, filati
I don't know if I'm the last person to see "March of the Penguins", but I saw it last night and was just enthralled. I've done very little landscape work in mosaic, but was compelled to try my version of the Antactic Emperor penguins on their long walk. I love how it turned out. I've never done a layered glass effect before, and this seemed just a perfect way to accomplish this idea.

Now here's a departure. I love everything about this. How interesting that your inspiration for this beauty was an idea rather than materials.

I'm so downloading that movie right now, can't wait to see it. And everyone, this looks even better up close, I know it doesn't seem possible, but believe me, it's beautiful!!!
