Callicarpa

12mm diameter - Mosaic gold and smalti in sterling silver
$220 USD

I've been in British Columbia for awhile now, and thanks to some fabulous above freezing weather, I've been able to get out walking, and even cycling! I feel blessed to spend time in a place where there is green year round, especially since most years there is at least some snow at this time. But in addition to green, this year I've noticed this very intriguing Callicarpa tree, which has these most attractive BRIGHT purple berries.

So obviously I had to create something inspired by them! I don't often do earrings with posts, but I'm really rather pleased with these. The photo shows the metal as slightly golden, I believe that's reflection from the building I'm next to, as they are very much silver.

As of next week, I'm out of this weather and on to an even better climate as I journey to Australia to start another mosaic workshop tour. A number of the workshops have sold out, but there are still places available in six of them. So if you're thinking of registering for any of the workshops, I recommend you do so as soon as you can! If a workshop you're interested in has sold out, feel free to express your interest to the workshop host or to myself and we'll put you on a waitlist.
