Magic Snail
40mm diameter- Mosaic gold, filati, turquoise in sterling silver
I cannot take credit for the name of this mosaic jewelry piece. That credit belongs to someone who, when I posted a work in progress picture of this work on Instagram, commented that it looked like a magic snail. Then someone else messaged, asking to put a hold on the Magic Snail pendant when it was finished, so there you go, didn't have to wrack my brain to come up with a clever name for this piece. I do love a good collaboration.
I've got just a few days to go until my workshop here in Santorini, and there's no moving like a snail here, I'm more of a busy bee. There are plants to pot, food to be prepped (mosaicking is hungry and thirsty work!) and supplies to be organized. I also have to clean my home from top to bottom. I'm never sure if the small size of it means it's easier or harder to clean. Ah well, maybe when the workshop is over I can take a day or two and move at a snail's pace for a bit.
