So it should come as no surprise that I am missing my beloved Greece. Over the past 6 years of my nomadic life, Greece has become like a second home, and there are some years I spend more time there than anywhere else. I currently have likely more pairs of shoes there than in my clothing cache in Canada, and possibly more clothes.
It's funny what I find I miss. Naturally, I am missing Kosta and my dear friends on Santorini, and the food (though that craving gets somewhat sated in my twice monthly Greek night). But sometimes what I find myself missing is things that I don't actually do all that often! From the first time I went to Greece back in 1994, I have fallen in love with fresh squeezed orange juice, usually purchased for a much smaller than expected sum from the local bakery, along with some sort of fresh pie or bread. Even better is if I then take that delicious repast to somewhere with a view, an easy enough thing to do on a stunning Greek island.
But for now, I have to live vicariously through Kosta, who recreated the above scenario for my photographic pleasure. Efharisto, agapi mou!
