I get asked occasionally if I am independently wealthy, as I travel so much. The answer is a very resounding no. I enjoy luxury and creature comforts very much. I definitely like "the high life". The thing is, though, that I've always believed that if you get too much of a good thing, you start to lose perspective. When luxury is normal, I think one appreciates it less over time. I am lucky enough to "visit" luxury on occasion, thanks to some wonderful people in my life and the odd splurge, and am filled with gratitude when I do, but I don't "live" there. (Part 1 of 2)
