This piece is truly a case of cross cultural, international inspiration. The lovely central glass cabochon is from Venice, Italy, but the ultimate colour scheme was inspired by Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a Thai temple just outside the city of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. The 300 steps leading up to the temple were built as a form of meditation, and I wanted this piece to be calmly contemplative.
