I had the great joy of finally getting a hair cut and colour yesterday. This may not sound like much, but it's been 6 months since my last one, and when you're rarely in your home town, and your hairdresser is a new mother and only works two days a week, it seemed like a miracle that the stars aligned so as to let it happen. The appointment also allowed me to present her with this:

She and I barter our services, and I've owed her this work for longer than I care to admit. She didn't request this specific piece, but rather said, "Make me something I'll like." Knowing she loves Greek iconography, and knowing how excited she is to be a mother, I decided to do a classic Greek Madonna and Child icon, using her gorgeous face as the Madonna. Love you Vivi, and little Petros couldn't have asked for a better mom.
